What is Rust Vindy Radar?
Rust Vindy Radar is a real-time minimap overlay that shows the position of every player, NPC, and item in Rust. Unlike the limited in-game map, the radar provides constant live tracking with configurable zoom, range, and visual settings. The radar displays entity positions relative to your character with accurate distance and direction, giving you complete 360-degree awareness that eliminates ambushes and surprises. Combined with the Item ESP integration, the radar transforms into a comprehensive resource locator that makes farming routes and monument runs significantly more efficient.
Real-Time Player Tracking
The core function of the radar is tracking player positions in real-time. Every player on the server appears as a colored icon on the minimap, showing their exact position relative to you. Choose between dot icons for simple representation or directional arrows that show which way enemies are facing. The visibility-based color system differentiates between visible players and those behind cover. Teammates display in a distinct color so you never confuse allies with enemies. Distance-based scaling makes closer threats appear larger, providing instant threat priority assessment.
Zoom Control & Customization
Radar zoom ranges from 0.5x to 10x, letting you focus on immediate surroundings or view a wider area. At low zoom (0.5x), you can monitor a large radius around your position — ideal for base defense or monument overwatch. At high zoom (10x), the radar shows precise positioning for close-quarters combat situations. The radar size is adjustable from 50 to 400 pixels, and you can position it anywhere on screen using X/Y offset controls. Background opacity, border color, grid lines, and distance rings are all configurable to match your preference and visibility needs.
NPC Radar — Scientists, Animals & AI
Beyond player tracking, the radar displays all NPC entities. Scientists at monuments, roaming patrols, heavy scientists, and tunnel dwellers appear with their own color and icon settings. Animals including bears, boars, deer, wolves, and horses are tracked for hunting efficiency or threat avoidance. Each NPC type can be enabled or disabled independently, so you can show dangerous scientists while hiding harmless deer, or track all animals for farming runs.
Item Radar — 11 Categories of Loot
The radar integrates with the full Item ESP system to display all 11 item categories on the minimap. Ores (sulfur, metal, stone, HQM) appear in distinct colors for efficient farming routes. Crates (military, elite, locked, tool) help you identify the best loot at monuments. Vehicles (boats, cars, helicopters) are tracked so you never miss transport options. Each category has independent color settings and type filters, so you can customize exactly what appears on your radar for focused farming or comprehensive awareness.
Stream-Proof External Overlay
Like all Rust Vindy modules, the radar runs as an external overlay that is completely invisible to recording software and other players. Stream on Twitch, record with OBS, or share your screen on Discord — your viewers see only the normal game while you see the full radar overlay. This stream-proof design protects your privacy and ensures you can use the radar in any situation without concern.
Radar + ESP + Aimbot Integration
The radar works seamlessly with all other Rust Vindy modules. Use radar for overhead awareness, ESP for through-wall visuals, and aimbot for combat assistance — all running simultaneously with zero performance impact. The external architecture ensures your FPS stays high even with every feature enabled. Toggle features on and off with customizable hotkeys to adapt to any situation.
